'The Filipino dream is an everyday call for rich and poor to work together to build prosperity in the land for everyone.'
‐ Tony Meloto, Gawad Kalinga (GK) Founder
Have you ever been to Barangay Walang Iwanan, Hope Street? If not, you are missing the best part of being a Filipino. This place is the incubator of dreams, playground of kids, and haven for the Nanays and Tatays; a barangay where people walk hand-in-hand towards one purpose.
This 2016, Barangay Walang Iwanan has built hope in five areas in the Philippines: Bukidnon, Eastern Samar, Camarines Sur, Nueva Ecija, and South Metro Manila. Together with friends, family, and volunteers from different parts of the world, we eased the hearts of our brothers and sisters who are in pain of poverty through Kalinga sa Bayan activities like youth conferences, health missions, sports programs, and cleanup drives.
