Volunteer
By joining Team GK (previously GK1mB), you have the advantage of working with others in bayanihan (cooperation), thus multiplying your efforts with success. Thousands of lives are changed because you are united with others in the massive work of eradicating poverty.
We are actively raising volunteers all over the world to help build a nation with a culture of faith and patriotism and a lifestyle of heroism.
Since 2006, Team GK has grown to become a global humanitarian movement presently established in major academic, corporate and civic institutions in key cities and provinces around the Philippines and in North America, Australia and Asia.
Anyone who can commit at least 4 hours a month to do community work for GK can be part of Team GK. You can directly participate in implementing GK programs and activities, do advocacy work or share your talents and skills. More concretely, you can:
1. Be a light bearer of Gawad Kalinga by inspiring others, sharing the vision and values of GK, and living the GK way.
2. Participate actively in GK activities by taking part in GK’s programs and express fully the ideals of GK.
3. Register here to be part of GK’s global army against poverty. Invite your friends to register too! You get to receive weekly email news and updates. You too will have your own personal dashboard which will enable you to invite your friends, create projects, attend events, post pictures and connect to your hometown.
4. Build your own Team GK (Kalinga teams) and initiate GK builds and other GK activities in the area closest to your heart. Inspire your team members to take part in meaningful build activities and mission trips.

6. Enlist your organization to be an institutional GK partner where you and your group can participate in GK events on ground and off ground such as holding advocacy campaigns and fundraising events.

8. Be a virtual volunteer! We recognize the power of online media to inform, inspire, spread, and influence other people to do their part in building a better world.

b. Be the first to know, announce and spread the word by tweeting, retweeting, reposting, r ebloggingabout GK and its trailblazing programs and volunteer activities.
