HOW
WE END
POVERTY

As the new school year progresses, it is the best time to open opportunities to help get our country's future grown ups to stay in school and off to a healthy start.

While most of the Filipino students head back to schools, there are 7,028 students from Marawi City who have been displaced and are currently learning at Temporary Learning Spaces in Saguiaran, Lanao del Sur (6 km away from Marawi). They are facing the challenge of living a normal childhood in times of armed conflict.

With our commitment to leave no child behind, Gawad Kalinga, in partnership with DepEd ARMM, Local Government of Saguiaran, and World Food Programme, is implementing Operation Walang Iwanan: Kalinga Marawi. 5,000 kids are served with Kusina ng Kalinga hearty lunch meals daily since the launch of the said feeding program. Aside from sharing Kalinga though the lunchboxes, we are also extending Kalinga efforts through SipaG and Paraisong Pambata to address their need of pychosocial support.

With your love and care, Build Hope with KnK Lunchbox, in partnership with Plush and Play, Q-York, and Wave 89.1, is looking forward to bring back the happiness and hope to the affected children of the armed conflict in Marawi City. We aim to provide more Kusina ng Kalinga lunch meals and share joy with Plush and Play toys to 5,000 children in Saguiaran.

Through Kusina ng Kalinga, we continue to build caring communities for our young. Let us carry the commitment to care together until no child is left hungry. Hunger ends where caring begins!

HELP PREPARE FOR THE RAINY DAYS

Aside from hunger and general poverty, disasters and/or conflict disrupt routine and may sometimes cause our kids to stop schooling all together. In the Philippines, back to school almost always means start of the rainy season too, and while we have no control over when the next big typhoon will strike, we can definitely become better prepared for it!

Give any amount in multiples of ₱200 and enable us to respond to disaster within the first 48 hours.
