PCNS Certification as a Donee Institution
The Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC) is the authorized institution of the Department of Finance that accredits all NGO’s for this issuance of certificates of donation to its donors. Gawad Kalinga, after a 1-year probation, is one of the very few NGO’s that have been granted a 5-year accreditation by the PCNC. As further testimony of its respect and trust for GK organization, PCNC has invited GK’s Executive Director Luis Oquinena to sit in its Board of Trustees.
Advisory Services from Top Consultancy and Financial Firms
Isla Lipana, a member of the Price Waterhouse Groups, is GK’s independent external auditor. It conducts an intensive and robust audit of our books.
SGV of the Ernst and Young Group conducts a Business Process Review and A Financial Statement Closing Process Review of our financial systems and operations. With SGV’s help, we were able to identify the gaps, weaknesses ad risks in our systems and processes, and more importantly in addressing and mitigating them.
Ateneo de Manila Center for Organizational Research & Development University (CORD) has been assisting us in streamlining our systems through an Organizational Development process and professionalizing our workforce through a Performance Management System.
