Rafaella GK Village

Phnom Penh, Cambodia

As the GK model evolved in the Philippines, many other developing nations began to replicate it in their own countries.  One inspiring example is GK Rafaella Village in Cambodia, home to at 20 Khmer families who used to live in a dumpsite and survived by being garbage scavengers.

Located in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, GK Rafaella is the result of the partnership with Bong and Rose Cabrera of ANCOP USA, and the commitment of both caretaker teams and GK residents and is a powerful symbol that we can all work together -- Buddhist or Catholic, young or old, Filipino or Khmer, Caucasian or Brown to help end poverty one family and one community at a time.
