Join a Global Army Against Poverty

By joining GK’s Isang Milyong Bayani (One Million Builders or GK1MB), you have the advantage of working with others in bayanihan (cooperation), thus multiplying your efforts with success. Thousands of lives are changed because you are united with others in the massive work of eradicating poverty.
 
We are actively raising one million volunteers all over the world to help build a nation with a culture of faith and patriotism and a lifestyle of heroism.
 
Since 2006, GK1MB has grown to become a global humanitarian movement presently established in major academic, corporate and civic institutions in key cities and provinces around the Philippines and in North America, Australia and Asia.
 
Anyone who can commit at least 4 hours a month to do community work for GK can be part of GK1MB. You can directly participate in implementing GK programs and activities, do advocacy work or share your talents and skills. More concretely, you can:  
  1. Be a light bearer of Gawad Kalinga by inspiring others, sharing the vision and values of GK.
  2. Participate actively in GK activities by taking part in GK’s programs and express fully the ideals of GK.
  3. Meet with fellow volunteers to share experiences and lessons learned during regular Builders Action Team gatherings.
  4. Grow into a leader and manage a team of volunteers, inspiring them to take part in meaningful build activities and mission trips.
  5. Enlist your organization to be an institutional GK1MB partner where you and your group can participate in GK1MB events on ground and off ground such as holding advocacy campaigns and fundraising events.
