Ford Global Philippines (FGP) took a month-long bayanihan with 5 GK communities this September 2017. It is the second consecutive year that the company has celebrated its signature annual volunteer event with GK.
“We’re proud to again participate in the Ford Global Caring Month with projects in various communities that will provide tangible benefits. Our Ford and dealer employee volunteers are excited to again lend a helping hand,” says Josephine Gonzalez, AVP, government and corporate affairs, Ford Philippines.
Bert Lessard, Ford Philippines’ Managing Director, also talked about the company’s teamwork in creating opportunities to make people’s lives better during an interview last September 8 at GK Bayanihan Village, Dasmariñas, Cavite. He said that volunteer activities enable their employees and dealers to build a meaningful teamwork amongst one another in creating impact to communities where they are present.
Ford Volunteer Corps is the collective name for Ford employee and dealer volunteers who are mobilized to take part in community service activities. This year, 124 volunteers have given 992 volunteer hours through participating in various bayanihan activities with GK. Their work will have made an impact to about 1,000 individuals.
