Closely linked to poverty is the problem of hunger, which also leads to disease and malnutrition.  In the Philippines alone, there are about 20 million poor Filipinos experiencing involuntary hunger. In a country with 9.7 million hectares of idle, arable land, it is not right that families should have to starve or resort to eating garbage just to survive. Through GK Bayan-Anihan (food sufficiency program), we provide a sustainable solution to the problem of hunger. Families are each given farm plots, materials, and valuable support from a multi-sectoral network of partners and volunteers to ensure that farms are sustainable and are able to provide a family's daily food needs.
See how you can be part of the global fight against hunger. Every small seed you plant together with the community will yield a harvest that will bless a lot of people!  Be a hunger warrior and help us feed families for life.
